"A New Turn in the South" Book Launch

Tuesday, October 17th served as the debut party for Hugh Acheson's first cookbook, A New Turn in the South. Additionally, It marked the official opening of Hawthorne House's new location at 1440 South Milledge Avenue. Lisa Ellis, formerly Fiscus, has taken on yet another restoration project in Athens (the second on Milledge Avenue alone). Her first project on Milledge was the award-winning restoration of Hawthorne House's previous location, 1073 South Milledge. The new location is a 1912 built granite house situated on the corner of South Milledge and Milledge Heights. Although still under construction, the new shop looks beautiful.
