Empire State South; Interior Design by Lisa Fiscus & Susan Hable

Hugh Acheson (of Five and Ten fame) commisioned Lisa Fiscus of Hawthorne House and Susan Hable of textile design house Hable Construction to design the interiors of his newest enterprise,
Empire State South, located at 999 Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta.  The menu, a fresh interpretation of the traditional meat and three, is already getting rave reviews.  The interiors are a mix of reclaimed materials, antique furniture, and custom made pieces that are mostly from Georgia.  The paint used on the repurposed furniture and wall is organic/NO VOC milk paint. Here are a few photos of the interiors.

The private dining room at ESS has walls paneled
with board and batton reclaimed from a 19th century
house that was torn down in Duluth, Georgia.
