Beautiful New Lee Jofa

Last week the lovely Rosemary from Lee Jofa brought some samples from their Fall 2011 collections. We saw some of the new Lilly Pulitzer fabrics, the Groundworks Ventana line, new Brunschwig & Fils, and the new Suzanne Kasler collection. Here's a little peek at the samples we ordered. Come by Hawthorne House to see them in person - they're gorgeous!

Groundworks by Lee Jofa introduced the Ventana Collection for Fall 2011 that is filled with intricately woven neutrals and hand embroidered textiles. We love the pops of color and little detailed embellishments that bring a freshness to the neutral trend.

The gorgeous Ventana Leaf pattern - it comes in this taupe color as well as a darker "Mink."

Starburst Silk on left, Floreale Weave on the right.

This Louvered Maze pattern is so soft and we love the colors it comes in.

Gem Velvet in "Aqua" on left, Oriel Linen on right

Gem Velvet

Ventana Dots pattern in the different colorways.

Link Jacquard in "Barley"

Nolita in "Aqua/Rust".

Etwine Sheer in Ivory.

Amour Sheer in Beige on left, Sparklers Linen on right.

Sparklers in a different colorway.

Lux Embroidery in Linen/Gold. We love the beaded detail!

This 8" tape border is beautifully embroidered with "Tea Rose/Stone Blue" colored threads.

DwellStudio Furniture Coming to Hawthorne House

We are thrilled to announce that DwellStudio Furniture coming to Hawthorne House!  The company was founded by Christine Lemieux in 1999 in an effort to bring modern textile design to the world of bedding.  Now, twelve years later, DwellStudio has expanded to a full home brand - including furnishings, tabletop decor, baby & junior bedding, and Christine's wildly popular book Undecorate: The No-Rules Approach to Interior Design (rated #1 Bestselling Design book by the Wall Street Journal).  Their modern style paired with unique colors has set DwellStudio at the forefront of home furnishing design.

Ron and Lisa visited their showroom in High Point a few weeks ago so enjoy these snapshots of a few of the pieces arriving at our shop in January 2012.  We'll also be carrying their line of fun rugs so be sure to stop by and take a look at their catalog!

The gorgeous tufted leather Chester Sofa.

We love these chic Haviland Tables. They will be here in January!

The Avedon Nesting Coffee Table is like three tables in one. Tuck them under for
easier circulation or pull them out for additional surfaces.

These Pollino Chairs would be so fun & modern in a dining room.

Seen here is the Mallory Chair in one of DwellStudio's new fabrics.

This Hans Leather Chair is also headed our way!

colorset3: Susan Hable + Rinne Allen

Susan Hable, of Hable Construction, and photographer Rinne Allen are longtime friends and collaborators who both live in Athens, Georgia. Often meeting for visits to share inspiration and see what each other is working on, they now create pieces that reflect their shared love for nature, pattern and patina. Now they are ready to share that inspiration with you. Fall 2011 brings the release of the first in a series of artists’ books created by the duo called colorset3. Featuring 8 posters – 16 images back-to-back – that fold out and tear away, the book is an interpretative collection that can become what you make of it. Rinne photographs objects of beauty that range from golden glitter to a flock of birds, and Susan paints a color story inspired by Rinne's photograph. Each poster is double-sided with the interpretation of each subject. Tear out the posters and hang them on your wall, or keep them folded in the book to open up when you need something beautiful to look at. It is up to you. The hardest part may be deciding which side of the poster to view – or buy 2 books and see the lens and brushstroke at the same time. We are so excited to have these in our shop! They are $35 and there were only a limited number printed so come pick yours up at Hawthorne House today!
